What it does today

What the assistant can handle without going through the concierge.

Availability by seating

The seatings on a date, how many covers are left and whether the party fits. It honors closures, minimum notice, the booking window and the cutoff.

Identifies the stay

With room number and last name, or the PMS reservation number: name, guest category and arrival and departure dates.

What the stay includes

Per restaurant, whether the reservation is included in the stay or what it costs for adults and children.

Answers the policies

Cancellation, dress code, adults only and each restaurant's additional information, in English or Spanish, plus the allergen and diet catalog.

Books, changes and cancels

It quotes before booking and shows the summary; to change or cancel, it shows the change and the policy first. Allergens, dietary restrictions, notes and celebrations go on the reservation.

The daily briefing

In assistants that support MCP prompts, for the front desk or management: the day's reservations by restaurant, groups and allergens, on the hotel's date.

The floor plan from a document

The assistant reads the PDF or photo of the floor plan; Mesatto simulates the import and saves it on your confirmation. Requires the floor plan to be turned on.

    With the hotels, the restaurants and the role that decides what it can do, then create its API key in the dashboard.

    Connect the assistant

    Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or the hotel's agent point to https://mcp.mesatto.com/mcp with that key.

    The assistant takes it from there

    It checks and quotes before booking. The reservation is tagged with the assistant channel.

Only what its key allows

It sees its service user's hotels and restaurants, with the same quota and the same audit trail as any integrator.

It quotes before writing

A reservation needs a valid quote, with seating, price and cancellation policy. In assistants that support it, the server asks the person for a yes before saving; in the rest, the assistant asks.

Minimal personal data

When it identifies the stay it doesn't return the guest's email or confirmation number unless the detail is requested.

Tagged as the assistant channel

Every reservation carries the assistant channel, and shows it in the Excel export and in the seating PDF.

What it doesn't do

It doesn't connect to WhatsApp or Instagram

The messaging channel comes from the hotel's agent; Mesatto gives it the tools to book.

It doesn't show photos

Neither of the restaurant nor of the dishes: it answers with text and data.

It doesn't edit the guest profile

The reservation lands in Mesatto with its notes; the profile is handled from the dashboard.

It doesn't recommend by taste

It compares seatings, covers and inclusions. There's no recommendation engine.

What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for an AI assistant to use another system's tools. Mesatto's turns the public API into tools: check seatings, find the stay and book.

Can the assistant book without anyone confirming?

It's designed not to: before booking it has to quote, and the summary carries seating, price and cancellation policy. In assistants that support confirmation forms, the server asks the person for a yes; in the rest, the assistant asks.

Does it work with ChatGPT or Claude.ai?

Not tested yet with their connectors, which authorize through OAuth. Today it connects with an API key from Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or another MCP client that takes a URL and a header.

Does it work over WhatsApp?

If the hotel's agent already answers on WhatsApp and supports MCP, it can book with Mesatto. The server doesn't connect to WhatsApp on its own.

Enterprise. It uses a service user's API key, with its hotels, its restaurants, its role and its quota.
